A3 Dennis Roundabout Roadworks

National Highways - A3 Dennis Roundabout bridge repairs, Guildford

National Highways are carrying out Bridge repair works  at Dennis Roundabout on the A3 in Guildford from May to December 2026.

The bridges carrying the A3 over the A322 require essential structural repairs to ensure they remain safe and in good condition.

Programme of works:

The works will be delivered in two phases:

Phase 1 – Dennis Roundabout (May to December 2026)

• Repairs to bridge supports and bearings
• 24/7 lane closure on part of the roundabout
• 24/7 footpath closure with a signed diversion in place
• Some overnight closures in May

Phase 2 – A3 between Dennis and Stoke Interchanges (June to July 2026)

• Bridge deck repairs, waterproofing and resurfacing
• Combination of weekend closures, overnight closures and narrow lanes
• Impact on residents and road users
• Delays are expected, particularly during closures
• Some noise is unavoidable, especially during overnight works
• Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place
