Use of AI Technology at Woodbridge Hill Surgery

Woodbridge Hill Surgery uses an AI-assisted clinical documentation tools to support clinicians during consultations.

What this means

With your permission to proceed with the consultation, the clinician may use Heidi to assist with note-taking and summarising the consultation.
The technology helps clinicians focus more fully on listening and engaging with you, rather than typing during the consultation.
The clinician reviews, edits, and approves all clinical notes before they are saved to your medical record. AI does not make clinical decisions.

Confidentiality and data protection

Your information remains confidential and is handled in line with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and the common law duty of confidentiality.
AI Scribe tools are designed for use in healthcare settings and meets NHS data security standards.
No decisions about your care are made by AI alone.

Consent and your choice

We rely on implied consent to use this technology as part of providing your care, in the same way as other clinical support tools.
If you do not wish AI to be used during your consultation, please tell the clinician at the start of the appointment. This will not affect the care you receive.
